About the event

Booktalk #6 will revolve around "Inferior", written by Angela Saini. With its byline reading "The true power of women and the science that shows it" - this will for sure be an interesting one!

Ingeborg van der Ven will lead the talk. She is a journalist, presenter, and public speaker (amongst other things). As part of her work, she researched the role of #metoo in the academic field. In November 2018 she moderated the FEL Philosophy discussion about #metoo with Jannah Loontjes.

The book that will be discussed is titled Inferior and is written by Angela Saini. It was published in 2017 and revolves around the gender bias in science. She breaks down the fixed gender roles and sexist outlook on women in science, and takes the reader on a rediscovery journey on the true power of women's bodies and minds.

Please RSVP if you want to attend this booktalk.

Reading the book is not necessary but it does improve the experience. Everybody is welcome!

The event is free but you can buy a donation ticket to support the work of FEL and offset the costs of our events.

See you there!
