FEL has been growing since our start last summer. To continue building our community of awesome feminists we need some help! We have multiple positions open, so you can find something that fits your skillset and development goals.


Social Media & Communications Lead


As the Social Media & Communications Lead, you will be working alongside the FEL Board Members in engaging in our growth via social media and communication strategies. This is a pivotal role that sharpens understanding and implementing strategies through social media platforms. This role focuses on shaping the FEL vision and developing audience initiatives. If you are a detail-oriented individual with innovative digital storytelling skills, this is the ideal position for you! You will be involved in every stage of the creative and social process that builds the FEL community.

Secretary


As the official secretary of FEL, you will be working hand-in-hand with the FEL Board members as the first point of contact when dealing with correspondence and enquiries. Through this position, you are bringing excellent writing, organizational and verbal abilities to the FEL team. The role polishes organizational and people skills, requiring you to attend and take minutes of important meetings with the FEL board members as well as external stakeholders. Within this role you also gain experience in managing databases and assisting with the range of activities and events FEL organizes and collaborates with. If you are a highly organized, curious and driven individual who wishes to add managerial experience to their CV, we want you!

Event Committee


As a member of FEL’s event committee, you will be working consistently with the FEL Board Members. This is a key position in the organization. You are bringing in exceptional organizational abilities, originality, and creativity, all of which focuses on shaping our vision and developing audience initiatives. The competences you will polish in this role are: liaising/engaging skills with stakeholders and our target audience; organizational skills; marketing skills. You will be provided with the opportunity to practice your public engagement skills, by networking and liaising with stakeholders, develop your marketing skills, and sharpen organisational and abilities.


The events you shall be organising, assisting, and in some cases taking lead in are:

- Book Talks

- Networking Events

- Collaborative Events with Student Societies (eg. LU Pride)

- FEL’s Anniversary Festival (Theme: Mind the Gap)
