About the Event

Save-the-date for the third edition of FEL Booktalks! In January we are hosting a very special edition dedicated to Nigerian feminist writing.

Elizabeth Omoruyi will lead the discussion at this edition. She is a PhD Candidate at Leiden University and is currently working on Nigerian women writers in the 20th and 21st Century. For the FEL Booktalk she will introduce us to Buchi Emecheta!

On the reading list:

- Buchi Emecheta, Second Class Citizen (1983)

"The poignant story of a resourceful Nigerian woman who overcomes the strict tribal domination of women and countless setbacks to achieve an independent life for herself and her children."

This edition will be hosted at the office of ROEM (Red Carpet Lounge, 3rd floor) and will be entirely in English.
